Tineli have an exiting opportunity for a talented graphic designer to join our team.
The key responsibility is making our customers look good by creating custom clothing designs that they will want to be seen in.
Additionally you'll be involved in making us look good through our advertising and marketing material.
Ideally you'll have a strong background in cycling, but creative thinkers with proven design experience from any walk of life will be able to thrive in the position.
We are a small enthusiastic team based in Nelson, with a sales team spread across Auckland, Australia and the UK. You could work from our Nelson office, or from home anywhere in New Zealand or Australia.
- Working with our custom customers to create designs they want to be seen in.
- Working on our collection and limited release designs.
- Generating marketing and advertising material in a range of formats including print, online and in-store.
Skills and Experience
- Proven design experience
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

What you will do
Collaborate with our multi-disciplinary marketing, sales and production teams to build and execute our product vision
Research fashion and cycling trends, travel to events, connect with riders, customers, and suppliers to build a product line that is innovative and commercially relevant
Build samples and prototypes, manage internal launch sample orders
Create products, lead projects in close collaboration with the factory
Help facilitate communication of the garments, features and functionality internally and externally
Manage the products during their entire life cycle
What you will bring
You have got the vision and creativity to drive innovative products for tomorrows needs with a keen sense of what is driving trends and how to stay in front of them
Ability to empathize with riders and use that insight to create products that reflect their needs
Technical understanding of clothing, production and design
Collaborative, team-player with an open mind and good listening skills
Strong computer and fashion/apparel skills
2+ years of experience in the cycling clothing, apparel or fashion or related sporting goods industry: retail sales, product management, or engineering
Current passport and a willingness to travel both domestically and internationally
A suitable and attractive remuneration package that includes base wage and commission package will be negotiated with the successful candidate depending on overall experience and fit for the role.
